Aerial Wonders and Analog Adventures: Exploring Fuerteventura

In this post, I’m excited to take you on a visual journey through our unforgettable adventure in Fuerteventura, where my love Fabiana and I immersed ourselves in the island’s breathtaking landscapes through the lens of both modern and traditional photography.

Discovering Aerial Beauty

Fuerteventura’s beauty is boundless, especially from above. With the sun rising, our drone captured a dreamlike coastline in gentle sunrise hues. Each flight unveiled new perspectives, revealing vibrant colors and captivating shapes. The aerial views turned Fuerteventura into a masterpiece, a reminder that nature is the world’s greatest artist.

Golden Hours in the Desert

Among the highlights of our trip were the golden hours spent capturing the mesmerizing Desertshapes in the island’s dunes. With my partner Fabiana, by my side, we experienced the magic of the desert. The dunes became a daily ritual, a place where time seemed to stand still, allowing us to soak in the beauty that Fuerteventura generously offered. Armed with my birthdaygift, a Pentax analog camera we went on a mission of preserving these truly special moments.

Wild Wonders of the South

Driving to the southern reaches of the island was a journey filled with wild beauty. The drive itself was an adventure, a thrilling ride to the stunning panoramas that awaited us. Navigating the dusty offroads, I couldn’t help but feel like a rally driver. The untamed landscapes and breathtaking views left an indelible mark on my heart. The journey was as fascinating as the destination, and the South of Fuerteventura became a love affair, etched in the memories we created together.

Ajuy: A Tranquil remote Fishing VillageΒ

Located on the west coast of the island, Ajuy proved to be one of the highlights of our trip. Despite the mighty waves that crashed along the coastline, there was an incredible sense of calm and tranquility in the air.Β The village’s rich history and the natural wonders like incredible caves and pitch black beaches surrounding it create a magic atmosphere that makes it a must-visit spot for anyone exploring Fuerteventura.

The doors of El CotilloΒ

Creating a instagram door reel was a dream come true! With 30 unique doors, each with its own story to tell, I couldn’t help but wonder about who goes in and out. El Cotillo’s tranquil and laid-back atmosphere captured our hearts. Definitely a must-visit spot to soak in the island vibes! Explore the magic below and give it some love! Timeless guardian: Faro de TostΓ³n

The lighthouse Faro de TostΓ³n is a timeless guardian on Fuerteventura’s shores. It’s red and white facade illuminates both night and maritime history. Located on rugged cliffs, it offers breathtaking views of sea and sky. Unfortunately, it was the only lighthouse we could visit, but more await exploration. We’ll be back soon!Β

Analog Adventures soon to be Unveiled

Stay tuned for upcoming posts on my instagram account dedicated to the analog treasures we captured during our time in Fuerteventura. I’m excited to share the frames captured by my 1980s Pentax, each holding its own unique story. From the vibrant colors of landscapes on a Kodak Film to special moments in black and white, these analog snapshots promise to to bring back memories and appreciate the artistry of film photography.

As I reflect on our journey through Fuerteventura, it’s clear that this island is not just a destination; it’s a canvas painted with the strokes of nature’s brilliance. Whether through the lens of my camera, drone or the grainy embrace of analog film, every snapshot is a special memory of this Canary Island gem. Until my next post, may your adventures be as captivating as the landscapes of Fuerteventura!
